MCHS FFA NEWS
Miller County FFA member LeAndra Kelley recently competed in the Area 5 FFA Prepared Public Speaking Career Development Event. The event was held in Tifton on December 8, 2009.
The FFA Prepared Public Speaking Career Development Event is designed to develop agricultural leadership. Participants are required to write and deliver a speech on an agricultural-related topic. The participants are judged on content and composition of the manuscript, voice, and stage presence, power of expression, general effect and response to questions asked by a panel of judges.
Also, Miller County member Victoria Newberry competed in the Area 5 FFA Job Interview Event. This event was also held in Tifton on December 8, 2009.
The FFA Job Interview CDE is designed for FFA members to develop, practice, and demonstrate skills needed in seeking employment in the agricultural industry. Each part of the event simulates “real world” activities that will be used by real world employers.
