Nursing Home News
We have had a good time this past week at Miller Nursing Home. We started our week off with Sunday School on Sunday morning, and members from Colquitt United Methodist Church were with us that afternoon.
Monday through Friday mornings we had fit and fun. Monday morning we had Bible Study. Tuesday afternoon we remembered Pearl Harbor by watching the movie.
Tuesday and Thursday mornings we played bingo.
Tuesday afternoon we spent time making ornaments to go on our Christmas tree. I encourage each of you to come and look at it; residents did a wonderful job. Tuesday evening we enjoyed having “The Joy Lighters” with us sharing in song.
Wednesday morning members from Colquitt First Baptist were here for our service. Wednesday afternoon we had a good time with our coffee shop as well as decorating the tree.
Thursday and Friday afternoon you could hear the laughter throughout the halls as we had a little competition while playing cards, Wii, checkers and other games.
Friday morning we sang along with Miss Gayle Grimsley as she sang Christmas carols for us.
As you can see, we have had a very busy week. We will be having special guests this week as we are getting ready for Christmas:
The Miller High School Band will be playing Wednesday. Thursday the children from Head Start will visit, and Friday the Miller County fifth grade choir will be singing for us. Each of the programs will start at 10:30 a.m., so if you would like to come by and share with us, we welcome you.
Thank all of you who had part in our activities, and we hope to see all of you during the holiday season.
