One of the newest members of the newspaper staff is telling Santa what she wants. Only Santa knows what she is saying. Christmas is just around the corner, and Santa is preparing to head back to the North Pole. He and his elves, along with Mrs. Claus, will be getting all of the toys and gifts ready for that long, fast ride early Thursday morning, December 25.

Santa has been seen in Colquitt and all the surrounding communities for the past few weeks, talking to all the girls and boys, checking their lists and seeing who has been naughty and who has been nice.

Many of the letters that have been written to Santa are printed in this edition of this newspaper. Also, photos have been made with Santa, and many of those are in this edition, and hundreds more are on our website . If you don’t see your child’s picture and know we made it, you can check our website and view all of the photos that we have made with Santa this holiday season. If you don’t have a computer, come by the Liberal or go by the Miller County Library to view the thousands of photos taken in this community.

We hope you enjoy this festive edition. The letters to Santa from the young ones will get Scrooge into the spirit of Christmas. Nothing in the Santa letters was changed! The many greetings from businesses, institutions and individuals shows how truly blessed that we are in this small community to have such caring and compassionate people.
