Girls’ and Boys’ Christmas Pageant held
Kelsie Fillingame is Baby Miss Christmas, and Kase Gibson is Baby Mr. Christmas.
The first annual Boys’ and Girls’ Christmas Pageant was held on Saturday, December 5. The pageant was sponsored by the MCHS Softball Team. Isabella Lawson, Senior softball player, gave the welcome and introduced the mistress of ceremonies for the event. Rachel Grimsley, also a member of the softball team, was the mistress of ceremonies. There were a total of 29 contestants that participated in the pageant.
Kase Gibson was crowned Baby Mr. Christmas, and Kelsie Fillingame was crowned Baby Miss Christmas. Kase is the son of Brian and Jennifer Gibson, and Kelsie is the daughter of Markel Fillingame and Kanesha Bush. Other contestants in the Infant category were Molly Franklin and Annalee Whitaker.
Colt Richardson was crowned Teeny Mr. Christmas, and Emma Grace Donley was crowned Teeny Miss Christmas. Colt is the son of Chad and Lacey Richardson, and Emma Grace is the daughter of Brian and Wendi Donley. Sophie Ard received first place, and Abby Beaty received second place. Other contestants in the walking to 2 years old category were Ally Roland, Harlieanne Williams, Emma Lane, and Alexis Arianna.
Emma Grace Donley is Teeny Miss Christmas, and Colt Richardson, Teeny Mr. Christmas.
Hayden Brunson was crowned Tiny Mr. Christmas, and Brecken Johns was crowned Tiny Miss Christmas. Hayden is the son of Robert and Michelle Brunson, and Brecken is the daughter of Austin and Kellie Johns. First place went to Bailey Franklin, and second place went to Savannah Black. Other contestants in the 3 to 4 years old category were Maggie Myrick, Lillie Middleton, and Haylee Brunson.
In the 5 to 8 years old category, Brady Brunson was crowned Little Mr. Christmas, and Callan Bryan was crowned Little Miss Christmas. Brady is the son of Robert and Michelle Brunson, and Callan is the daughter of Todd and Lacey Godfrey. First place went to AnaLeigh Cook; second place went to Alaina Bradley, and third place went to Camryn Vann. Other contestants that participated were Tonia Cogland, Harlie Middleton, Alexis Snell, Madelan Mock, and Chloe Ard.
Tiny winners were (L-R) Hayden Brunson, king; Savannah Black, second runner-up; Brecken Johns, queen; and Bailey Franklin, first runner-up.
Entertainment was provided by several of the softball players and special guest, Santa Claus (Jordan Parker).
The softball team would like to thank Mrs. Stacey Johnson for decorating, Mrs. Karen Widner for donating decorations, Dr. Robert Lane for donating the crowns, and Mrs. Jennifer Trawick for donating the gift baskets for the judges. They also thank all of the contestants for participating in the pageant.
