Still no ID on John Doe death
According to Corner Danny Sheffield, there has not been any identification of the 40-45 year old hanging victim found Sunday, November 29.
The white male was found hanging in an old barn just off of U.S. Highway 25 when the call of nature struck a man heading for Tallahassee, Florida. He stated that he wished that he had gone on into Colquitt for a restroom break.
The body of the decedent was sent to the Macon Crime Lab for autopsy and possible identification with possible fingerprints or dental records.
The coroner stated that a death certificate has not been completed at this time, since the manner and cause of death has not yet been determined as of Monday, December 7.
The death investigation has been turned over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
The hanging victim is still a John Doe at this time.
