Gas prices dropping in some nearby areas

Thank goodness gas prices are down. The price of regular gasoline has dropped just in time for Christmas. The prices are down this week; however, they are not as low as they were a year ago this time.

When we go to the pumps, we wonder is there a mistake when we fill up. The prices are down from last month a good bit. As the price of fuel goes down, the consumers are going back on the road.

According to the Map- Quest gas prices, the following lowest, local gas prices in a 14-60 mile radius of Colquitt, Monday were as follows:

Prices range in the nation from $2.18 per gallon in Casper, WY, to a high of $3.80 per gallon in Valdez, AK. The Atlanta area is selling gas from $2.41 per gallon up to $2.79 per gallon.

The cheapest gas Monday in Georgia was $2.39 per gallon.
