Mrs. Sue Virginia Branch Grantham, 85, of Chula died Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at her residence.

Mrs. Grantham was born December 17, 1923, in Chula and was the daughter of Jehu Branch and Minnie Phelps Branch, both deceased. She was retired from Big Star Foods, Inc. and was a member of Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church. She was a member of the 5-C Club and the Golden Agers.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Elder Ronny Webb and Elder Lee Chambers officiating. Interment followed in Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Grandsons, Bret Henderson, Cliff Henderson, Bobby Lawrence, Harley McGriff, Buck Grantham, Doug Lane, Chas Stewart and Dan Matthews served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Grantham is survived by one son and daughterin law, David and Kim Grantham, Chula; three daughters, Susan and Ray Henderson, Harriet Lawrence, Tifton, Charlie Ann Lane, Colquitt; 11 grandchildren, Heather and Brad Mathis, Paula Jones, Donna and Jackie Williams, Doug and JoAnn Lane, Bobby Lawrence, Julie and Dan Matthews, Bret and Lindsay Henderson, Cliff and Carman Henderson, Harley and Betsy McGriff, Buck and Sarah Grantham and Chas Stewart; 18 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bowen-Donaldson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
