INCIDENT REPORTS
Vehicle Accident On November 11, Tammy Adams
Lowe advised that as she was turning out of a drive on East College Street, she turned too sharply and hit a drive marker. Lowe was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Venture Van belonging to Miller County Hospital. The van was damaged on the passenger side fender area right in front of the door. The passenger side front hub cap was also damaged in the accident.
On November 11, Lynn Coon Cooper stopped for traffic in front of her. Kelsea Lynn Grimes slowed to stop behind Cooper. Jennifer Leanne Rathel hit Grimes' vehicle from behind causing Grimes' vehicle to hit Cooper's vehicle. Rathel was found to be at fault for following too closely.
On November 10, Deanna Marie Oberry was traveling south on Wright Calhoun Road. The vehicle lost traction and slid into the ditch.
On November 7, Edwin Scott Cleveland was backing out of a parking space on South First Street. While Kimberly Diane Duncan was coming around the courthouse square to park in another parking space. Cleveland stated that he did not see Duncan coming when he began to back out. Cleveland struck Duncan's vehicle as she began to turn into a parking space near him, causing damage to both vehicles.
On November 14, Phillip Harden was traveling north on Phillipsburg Road and had a blowout on the passenger's side front tire. Harden's vehicle jumped the ditch and ran through Ferrell Keaton's five strand barbed-wire fence. The fence was damaged, and the van was moderately damaged on the front quarter panel and the passenger side running board was torn off.
Damage to Property On November 8, Lisa L. Huntley reported that someone had "keyed" her vehicle and cut the convertible top. She stated the vehicle was parked at her mom's house all night, and she does not know who could have done it. The driver and passenger sides were keyed all the way down. Convertible top was cut towards the back of the vehicle. The vehicle is a 2003 Chrysler Sebring, orange in color.
On November 14, Courtney Tabb went into Darrell's Place for a few hours to socialize, and upon returning to her car she found the back glass of her vehicle broken out. The rear glass of the vehicle was shattered; a search of the area did not reveal an object that could have been used to break the glass. The glass appeared to have been struck with an object causing it to shatter.
DUI
On November 14, Derano L. Mc- Clendon was placed under arrest for DUI. McClendon stated that he did not have a driver's license, but a computer check revealed that the state had issued him a license because of a previous DUI, and that they were suspended. McClendon was then transported to the Sheriff's Office and administered the Intox. 5,000. The first sample was .165 GRMS%, and the second was .166 GRMS%. The owner of the vehicle who was the passenger was cited for allowing an unlicensed person to drive.
Marijuana Possession
On November 12, Earl Dean Roach advised that he had smoked a joint approximately one hour earlier. Upon searching the vehicle, two bags containing what appeared to be marijuana were found. Roach was then placed into handcuffs and taken to the Miller County Jail where he was charged with Possession of Marijuana 3rd offense. Roach was bonded out shortly after.
