Sunday was a good day. I was blessed to go to early service in Donalsonville at Live Oak AME Church where the Rev. Millie Ann Rambeau is the pastor. The minister pastor, Selina J. Elijah, preached a beautiful sermon. The people came out to church early if they wanted to learn more of Jesus. Came back home and got ready for church again. Was blessed to get to go to Bethel MB Church.

Hadn't been in awhile, and I thank God for the service at Bethel. It was so good to see Rev. Smith and the Bethel Church family.

You and yours will be welcome to worship at Beulah AME Church next Sunday. We will be celebrating our 121st year of worshipping at the same place. On Sunday, we will try to be good and kind if you will visit with us.

Next Thursday, November 26, we will celebrate another holiday, Thanksgiving. I have so much to be thankful for. I am thankful to have been born in Miller County more than 94 years ago. I am thankful to have had a loving set of parents who taught me right from wrong. They taught me to love people, even if they weren't what they should be. I am thankful for two loving children, five grandchildren and several great-grands and great-great-grands. I had to go to my grandparents to have playmates. But thank the Lord He blessed my offspring.

I am thankful that I am still able to live alone, do for myself and thank God for every second of my life. Some days I go, and some days I just stop.

But whatever time God gives you, be thankful. Do all the good you can while you are here because when your time is up, it's all over.

Happy Thanksgiving!
