WILEY W. HUNTER

Mr. Wiley W. Hunter, age 86, of Donalsonville passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009, at his residence.

Graveside services were held on Monday, November 16, at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, FL, with Masonic rites being delivered by members of Amelia Lodge No. 47. Military honors were carried out by the United States Navy.

Mr. Hunter was born in Jasper, FL, on July 3, 1923, to the late Richard and Myrtie Scarborough Hunter. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Donalsonville, GA, and Amelia Lodge No. 47 of Fernandina Beach, FL. He retired from Ga. Pacific in 1989. He had served his country in the US Navy. Mr. Hunter enjoyed hunting and gardening and was an avid fly fisherman.

Survivors include a daughter, Gale Hunter (Thomas) Weber, Cartersville; three grandchildren, Hunter (Lindsay) Weber, San Clemente, CA, Chris Weber, Cartersville, Lauren Weber, Cartersville; one great-grandchild, Bodhi Pollock, San Clemente, CA; one brother, Cole Hunter, Phoenix, Arizona; two sisters, June (Herb) Wolfe, Fort Myers, FL and Gerry Shrout, Ormond Beach, FL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Myrtie Scarborough Hunter; his wife, Mary K. Hunter; two sisters, Joyce Hunter and Jane Boman; and two brothers, Taso Hunter and Buck Hunter.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
