Mr. Marty O'Hearn, age 44, of Jakin passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 18, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville with Rev. Fred Odom and Bro. Ronnie Shiver officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Jakin.

Pallbearers will be Matt Hill, Ricky Cleveland, Ronnie Murkerson, Darryl Bruner, Troy Easom, Joe West, Marty Guy, and Steve Dixon. Honorary pallbearers will be his uncles, J.W. Walton, Robert Walton, Sammy Walton, and Johnny Walton.

Mr. O'Hearn was born in Albany on March 11, 1965, to Cliff and Martha Walton O'Hearn. Marty graduated from Early County High School in 1983. He was of the Pentacostal faith and worked as a crew foreman for timber roundup. Marty enjoyed collecting tools, racing, and building model semi-trucks. He was pretty much a "jack of all trades."

Survivors include his parents, Cliff and Martha O'Hearn, Jakin; one son, Blayne O'Hearn, Donalsonville; a fiancee, Linda Hicks, Jakin; and his maternal grandmother, Irene Walton, Alma; and also several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty O'Hearn; his maternal grandfather, Rev. Lee Walton and his paternal grandparents, C.M. O'Hearn, Sr. and Lucille O'Hearn.
