'Love Lights a Tree' project now underway

by: Betty Jo Toole

It is time for Miller County's 19th annual American Cancer Society "Love Lights a Tree" project in the crusade against cancer. This project has been very successful each year in raising funds to go toward research, education, and patient services in Miller County.

This is an ideal way to remember loved ones, friends or business associates who have been lost to cancer, or any other illness, or to honor someone special. All contributions are appreciated, and for a donation of $5 or more, per person, an acknowledgement of your special gift will be sent to your honoree or his/her family, along with an invitation to the tree lighting ceremony. Miller County's tree will be located on the courthouse square. The lighting ceremony will be Monday, December 14, at 6:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Thank you for your continued support of the American Cancer Society and "Love Lights A Tree." There have been many advances toward the cure for cancer, but there is still so much to be done with research.

Please see the donation form to be mailed to the American Cancer Society.
