Nursing Home News

by Suzanne Griffin

Residents had their regular activities this past week and are looking forward to another full week this week.

We started our Sunday morning out with Sunday School, and the afternoon was spent with members for Union Baptist Church.

Monday morning we had Bible study with Ms. Linnie Gibson. Monday afternoon we had a coloring contest.

Tuesday and Thursday mornings we played bingo. Tuesday afternoon we had coffee shop; the weather is getting right outside for this, so this is going to be part of our activities the upcoming months. Tuesday evening we enjoyed listening to the Joy Lighters sharing in song.

Wednesday morning we had members from Colquitt First Baptist leading our church service. We made Halloween crafts which could be seen outside my office that afternoon.

Thursday afternoon we were moving to the music, and Thursday evening we enjoyed having our monthly sing.

Rev. Daniel Dean was here to share with us Friday morning, and we were up, up, and away for the afternoon.

We are looking for any of you who have small animals that you would like to bring and share with the residents. If you would be willing to come, please call me, so we can set up a time, 758-4235.

Also we are in need of candy for the residents to hand out for the Community Trick-or-Treat. If you would like to donate candy, please bring it to the Activities Department by Friday, October 23. This will give us time to get more candy if needed. Thank you for your help with this.
