Mrs. Charlotte Edwina Cox, age 67, of Colquitt died Sunday, September 27, 2009, at South East Alabama Medical Center.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, September 30, at 2:00 p.m. at Colquitt United Methodist Church with Rev. David Thompson and Rev. Bobby Whitaker officiating. Interment followed in the Colquitt City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Darrell Jordan, Danny Griffin, Trent Clenney, Brent Henry, Luke Clearman, and Harry Warren. Members of the Colquitt Garden Club served as honorary pallbearers.

Mrs. Cox was a member of Colquitt Methodist Church and a former board member of Miller County Department of Family and Children Services. She was a member of the Colquitt Garden Club and former director of the Magnolia District Georgia Garden Club Association. She was a retired frame shop owner.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Cox Jr., Colquitt; one daughter, Caryn (Thomas) Jordan, Tifton; one son, Ray (Jennifer) Cox, Colquitt; two grandsons, Lucas Jordan and Jenson Cox; two sisters, Barbara (Luther) Clearman, Colquitt, and Doris (Richard) Sharpe, Arlington, TX; and one brother, Carlton (Peggy) Chambers, Colquitt.

Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
