When qualifying time opened Monday morning, August 31, three candidates have qualified to seek city council posts for districts one and four.

As of Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m., in District One, Grady Jarvis and Rovonda Kirksey have paid in to run for this post now held by Jimmy Phillips.

In District Four, George Williams has qualified to run to fill the position now held by Ken Roberts.

Qualifying time will end Friday, September 4th at 4:30 p.m.
