Morin, Wright exchange wedding vows

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Chad Morin Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Chad Morin Stacey Allyson Wright and Joseph Chad Morin were united in marriage July 11, 2009, at 4:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Lake Park. The Reverend Robert Dawson performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Johnson of Colquitt. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Avera of Valdosta.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her step-father, the bride wore a formal gown of ivory satin. The A-line gown was accented at the waist with rhinestone and sequins. Her chapel length veil of ivory tulle was dusted with rhinestones and sequins and completed with a tiara of rhinestones and crystals. For sentiment the bride borrowed a Bible from her Aunt Bernice Davis which had also been carried by cousins Dianne Houston, Valerie Davis-Binder, Charlotte Bell, and Marilyn Fowler as well as the bride's sister, Mandy Roland. The bride also wore a blue garter, which she borrowed from friend and bridesmaid, Amy Shoemake.

Serving as matron of honor was Mandy Roland, sister of the bride. Bridesmaid was Amy Shoemake. They each wore royal purple dresses and carried a single calla lily. Allyson Elizabeth Roland, niece of the bride, served as flower girl and wore a flowing Strasburg gown of white accented with ivory satin on the cap sleeves, collar and hem of the gown.

Steven Morin served his brother as best man. Groomsman was Cleve Roland, brother-in-law of the bride. Isaiah Roland and Benjamin Roland, nephews of the bride, served as bell ringer and ring bearer, respectively.

Music for the wedding was provided by violinist Marta Argyle and pianist Jan Herring. Vocalist Kim Parrish sang "Holy Ground" as the mothers were seated. Kim also sang "To Me" and "The Lord's Prayer". Mindy Bates directed the wedding.

Reception A reception followed immediately after the wedding in the church Youth House. A beautiful and delicious variety of food was enjoyed by the guests. The guests also enjoyed helping themselves to the candy table where they chose from an assortment of candies to take home as a reminder of the sweetness of the day.

Following a honeymoon to the Bahamas, the couple resides in Valdosta.

Showers

Stacey and Chad were honored with several showers prior to the wedding. Stacey's coworkers hosted a Linen Shower. A Miscellaneous Shower was given at Colquitt Free Will Baptist Church. Amy Shoemake hosted a Kitchen shower. The Lake Park First Baptist Church also hosted a Miscellaneous Shower. Stacey and Chad received many beautiful and useful gifts at each of these showers.
