EMS workers help wreck victim out of vehicle
A call came in to the 911 office that there was an accident with injuries at Grow Drug Company. The accident occurred at 3:00 p.m. July 23.

The Miller County Ambulance Service and the Colquitt Police Department were called to the scene.

According to the police report, Inez Grubbs White of 40 Grassy Flats Road was going to the drug store and was pulling into the parking space next to the door. Ms. White stated that her foot slipped off of the brake and onto the accelerator.

Her vehicle jumped up onto the sidewalk and into the window of the drug store building.

Those inside the building didn't know what was happening. "We have a drive-by window. I guess we might need a drive-in, too," one of the employees said.

"I'm just glad no one was hurt. We can get the building fixed," said one of the owners.
