Damage to Property

On June 28, Shauntee D. Byrd stated that Freeman and she had an argument over Byrd wanting Freeman to leave her home. Byrd took Freeman to First Street and during the trip an argument occurred. During the argument Freeman grabbed Byrd's cellphone and broke it into pieces. Byrd stated that Freeman then left and entered his mother's house. Byrd then left the scene.

On June 24, Jennifer Anne Moore advised that someone had thrown two rocks through the south side window of the Colquitt/Miller County Probation Department Office. The south window of the office had two holes in it, and the rocks were inside on the floor of the office.

On June 26, Frederick Hightower stated that he parked a 2006 Dodge truck belonging to Andy Spooner. Hightower stated that when he parked the vehicle there was no damage. When Hightower came back out, there was a small area on the driver's side door, that appeared to be dented. Pictures were taken, and the officer noted that there did appear to be damage on the driver's side door.

On June 27, Prenice M. Wright stated that someone had damaged the front quarter panel of her vehicle causing scratches and two small dents. Wright stated that she had been told that two subjects were fighting and that while the fight was going on the two subjects came in contact with her car causing the damage. After speaking with Wright, pictures were taken by Captain Stone while Officer Scott Cleveland gathered all other information.

Larceny

On June 22, Viola Williams reported a theft at her residence.

On June 24, Delishia Nicole Nash made contact with the Police Department in reference to a missing/stolen cellular phone. Nash stated that on June 21 around 6:30 p.m., she was at the Fun House (located on MLK Jr. St.) at a family gathering, and she lost or someone stole her cellular phone. Nash stated that she does not know who took the phone and why. The statements were taken, and the case is still ongoing.

On June 23, Thurman Collins explained that a new Dolmar Chain saw with an 18 inch bar and red in color was taken from his shop. At this time there are no further leads in this incident.

Public Peace

On June 23, Willie Zack Stevenson was so intoxicated he could not stand up or walk without assistance. Stevenson was being loud and bothering customers. Stevenson was placed under arrest and transported to the Sheriff's Office where he was booked and paper work completed.

Civil Complaint

On June 22, Sylvia Jackson advised that a subject from The Money Tree Loans came to her house and became belligerent about a debt that Jackson owed. Jackson said the subject was coming back to take her truck and lawn mower and various other things on her property and in her house. While speaking to Jackson, the subject from The Money Tree returned. The subject identified himself as Pat Parker, a branch manager for The Money Tree loan company. Parker advised that he was at the location to collect items that were used as collateral in a loan. Officer Charles Griffin advised that Parker would need to obtain the proper court papers in order to take possession of the property from Jackson. Parker advised that he understood and would seek settlement in civil court. Parker then left the location without any incident.
