Letters to the Editor

2009-07-01 / Opinion

Dear Terry,

Recently, the Swamp Gravy cast and crew traveled to Leesburg to perform Swamp Gravy: Ain't No Tellin' for the benefit of the American Red Cross. In the audience there were many friends of Colquitt and SW Georgia including Mrs. Martha Everson, Dr. and Mrs. Charles Gillespie, relatives of the late Wink Lane, and others.

I am enclosing a letter Mrs. Everson mailed to us complimenting Swamp Gravy and Miller County people. Thought it would be nice to share with our readers.

Perhaps there are other members of our beloved area of southwest Georgia who "have a story to tell" - two, three, four, five, or more - and would call Colquitt Miller Arts Council to set up a time to tell their family's stories which would be archived for future generations to hear and read! Preserving our history is so very important. We would love to hear all your stories of our beautiful community (article on page 3)
Sincerely,
Sara Ann Keaton
