One Nation Under God- In God We Trust
I agree with our President on at least one thing he said in part, "This is the best nation in the history of the world." We have been blessed by the One in whom we have trusted. In spite of some of our leadership in the past, the present and what may come in the future, I believe that the United States of America has, and will survive.

Fighting Back!
When I was a kid and got sick, my sister Marilyn usually dashed on off to school while mother attacked a fever, runny nose, cough or cold with her two favorite remedies ... aspirin and enemas. This time was different. I didn't have a cold. I had scarlet fever. Once I was diagnosed, the doctor sent me straight home and called the New Orleans Health Department.

A soilder and a tattered flag
On the wall next to my computer hangs a small American flag. It is tattered and dirty, but there is no way I will ever part with this little flag. As You See It
Once again a county job was filled before it was advertised. Nobody has a chance in this county unless they are friends or relatives of one of the commissioners. Colquitt's water bills are double those of D'ville, Bainbridge, and Blakley. Something's not right.

Letters to the Editor
Dear Terry, Recently, the Swamp Gravy cast and crew traveled to Leesburg to perform Swamp Gravy: Ain't No Tellin' for the benefit of the American Red Cross. In the audience there were many friends of Colquitt and SW Georgia including Mrs. Martha Everson, Dr. and Mrs. Charles Gillespie, relatives of the late Wink Lane, and others.
