Nursing Home News

by Suzanne Griffin

Residents had a very exciting week this past week. We had our regular morning services along with some special afternoon activities.

Sunday afternoon members from Mother's Home came to give our service.

Monday afternoon we enjoyed making a picture frame that we would use to put our pictures in from our Luau. On each of the frames we wrote the resident's name in English along with his or her name in Hawaiian.

Tuesday and Thursday morning we had bingo. Tuesday afternoon the residents enjoyed having Temple Praise Band coming and sharing in song.

Wednesday afternoon we had a wonderful time putting on a Luau. Each resident was given leis to wear for the party. The dinning room was decorated with colorful table decorations, palm trees and birds on the walls. Honey Bunn cake, fruit, cheese puffs and punch was served. Thank you, Miss Jane Wiggins, for all that you did.

Thursday afternoon we had our monthly resident council meeting. And on Friday afternoon we were moving to the music.

Saturday afternoon Bro. Mike Mounts came to share with us.

As always, I would like to thank all of you who helped with our activities this past week.
