James Amos, Luther Clearman, Barbara Clearman, Carlton Chambers, Peggy Chambers, Broc Chambers, Carla Smith and Tim Smith. On June 22 at 6 p.m. a U. S. Navy Gulfstream jet, call sign "Marine 200," landed at Southwest GA Regional airport in Albany.

The VIP onboard, The Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen. James Amos was flying in to visit the Marine Corps Logistics Base. The aircraft commander just happened to be CDR Broc Chambers. Both gentlemen were greeted by sweltering heat and six of South Georgia's finest: Carlton and Peggy Chambers (Broc's parents), Tim and Carla Smith (Broc's brother-in-law and sister) and former Colquitt mayor and first lady, Luther and Barbara Clearman (Broc's uncle and aunt).

After a short visit and photo op with Gen. Amos, all were treated to a tour of the aircraft by the air crew. Barbara commented that this was the first and only airplane she had ever been on but that she would be willing to fly with Broc in something that nice. Following the tour, the air crew of "Marine 200" were treated to a great dinner, plenty of conversation and good old southern hospitality.
