RUBY ALEEN COWART
Mrs. Ruby Aleen Cowart of Brooks, formerly of Colquitt, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Hospice of SouthWest Christian Care in Union City.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 22, at 2:00 p.m. at Temple Baptist Church in Donalsonville with Rev. Jack Cowart officiating. Interment followed at Colquitt City Cemetery with her loving grandsons serving as active pall bearers.
Mrs. Cowart was a homemaker and attended Oakside Baptist Church in Griffin, GA.
She is survived by two sons, James (Linda) Cowart of Luthersville, and Rev. Jack (Kathy) Cowart of Donalsonville; three daughters, Carolyn (Billy) Patterson of Fayetteville, June (Phillip) Holder of Luthersville, and Janice McBrayer of Brooks; two brothers, W. Eason Berry of Mayo, FL, and Harold Dayton Berry of Albany; 16 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Cowart was preceded in death by her husband, James Andrew Cowart; four brothers, Hollis Berry, Curtis Berry, S. L. Berry, W. R. Berry; and one son -in -law, Jack McBrayer.
Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
