Law Enforcement Report

Vehicle Accident

On June 8th, Sheila L. West was backing out of the parking area at 154 West Street. West struck a concrete barrier pushing it into the light post. The light post and concrete barrier were displaced from the impact.

On June 10th, Martha Hardy was attempting to back out of the parking lot.

Cecil Smith Davis was entering the parking lot. Hardy misjudged the clearance and struck Davis' vehicle causing minor damage to both vehicles. No citation and no injuries were reported at the time of the accident.

On June 12th, Patricia R. Williams advised she was backing out of a parking lot and did not see Elizabeth Williams pulling into the parking lot and struck Elizabeth's vehicle on the passenger side back door. There were no injuries reported.

Public Drunk

On June 13th, J.C. Perkins was placed under arrest for public drunk and transported to the Sheriff's Office.

Disturbance

On June 10th, Dolla C. Clark made contact with the Police Department in reference to a disturbance. The statements were taken and the case is still ongoing.

Damage to Property

On June 10th, Vantrisa Butler wanted to file a report about damage to property. Statements along with pictures were taken and the case is still ongoing.

On June 6th, Courtney Heard wanted to file a report about damage to her vehicle. Statements along with pictures were taken and the case is still ongoing.

Theft by Taking

On June 9th, Franklin Jones reported a theft. The case will be turned over to investigations.

Disorderly Conduct

On June 9th, Louie Freeman and Bill Lane were yelling at each other and cussing. Officer Dan Stone warned both parties to stop cussing or they would both go to jail. Freeman stated that Lane had called him a "Coke Head". Officer Stone asked Lane if he had said that and Lane stated that he had. At this time Freeman stated "F**k you, you fa**ot" loud enough to be heard across the street. Officer Stone then placed Freeman under arrest for disorderly conduct and transported him to the Miller County Jail.
