Mrs. Evelyn Temples, age 74, of Donalsonville passed away Friday, June 12, 2009 at her residence.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 14 at 3:00 p.m. at Hammock Springs Freewill Baptist Church with Dr. Gary Smith officiating. Interment followed at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville

Mrs. Temples was born in Russell County, AL, on October 11, 1934 to the late William Ferrell and Vera Mulkey Jones. She was a member of Hammock Springs Freewill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Temples Donalsonville; one son, Paul (Lajuanna) Temples, Bainbridge; four daughters, Chris (Mike) Pongerayter, Northport, AL, Kattie (Roy) Rogers, Lannie (Edward) Grant, Donalsonville, Rebecca Thomas (Alan), Bainbridge; three brothers, Robert (Sue) Jones, Cecil (Joan) Jones, Joseph (Jane) Jones, Atlanta; seven sisters, Nellie Allison, Atlanta, Pauline Kirkland, Bainbridge, Francis Page, Dothan, AL, Virginia Varnum, Sugar Hill, Betty Jean (J.C.) Fogle, IN, Alma (Bobby) Albercombe, Conyers and Martha (Bobby) Enfinger, Blakely; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Ferrell and Vera Mulkey Jones one brother, Buddy Jones and two sisters, Louise Evans and Margie Temples.
