SGA students perform well on spring testing

Southwest Georgia Academy students recently received their results from the Stanford Achievement Test (10th edition) that was administered in March. These tests are made up of individual subtests which measure the student's achievement in reading, math, language, spelling, science, social science, listening and thinking skills. The performance of the students is compared to the performance of students in the same grades across the nation. The complete battery score is the average of all subtests while the percentile rank indicates the relative standing of the students in comparison with students in the same grade in the norm referenced group who took the test at a comparable time. The national average for the complete battery is 50 percentile.

Headmaster Doug Dease stated that he was pleased with the results and credited the hard work of teachers and students as the reason for these scores. Mr. Dease also challenged students and teachers to work in the coming year to improve on this performance!
