HENRY DAVID KING

Mr. Henry David King, age 67, of Jakin died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

Mr. King was born in Donalsonville on March 1, 1942, to the late Henry Espie King and Hilda Moulton King Johnson. He worked as a maintenance foreman for Georgia Pacific for 41 years. He was a member of Springfield Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 6, at 2:00 p.m. at Springfield Baptist Church in Jakin with Rev. Fred Odom officiating. Interment followed in Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville.

Pallbearers were Lavon Chandler, Johnny Creel, Dick Howard, Harold King, Kenny King, and Rick Moulton.

Survivors include his wife, Sonya King, Jakin; two daughters, Sherrie (Johnny) McMullen, Donalsonville, and Teresa (Danny) Cosby, Headland, AL; two grandsons, Kade and Collin Cosby; one sister, Linda (Jerry) Godby, Donalsonville; two stepchildren, Bridget (Denny) Henderson, Chelsea, OK, Ray (Melissa) Busch, New Orleans, LA; three stepgrandchildren, Madison, Ray and Lauren Busch.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
