The Colquitt Police Department is investigating several counterfeit twenty dollar bills. The bills have been passed to several businesses in the community and are being checked by state and federal agencies.

According to investigating spring 2009 officers, the quality and paper the counterfeit bills are made of are not too high in quality. It is advised to check the bills with detection devices.
