After the cutting of the ribbon, Dancer invited anyone there to participate in the Hot Dog Eating Contest. The contest featured six entries. Each entry had to eat five hotdogs, and the one who finished first was the winner. Brian Kretschman was the winner with a time of three minutes and 25 seconds.
