Three vehicle accident on U.S. Hwy. 27 injures two

I just wanted a soda or something beside this! I just wanted a soda or something beside this! A three vehicle collision occurred on U.S. Highway 27 in Colquitt, Thursday, April 9, at 8:12 a.m.

Selen Patrice Harris, 26, of Rt. 3, Box 110, Donalsonville, was driving north on U.S. Highway 27/ Crawford Street in her 1994 Honda Accord.

Raymond D. Holt, 90, of Colquitt, was traveling north on U.S. Highway 27/Crawford Street in his 1991 Toyota pickup truck heading for his home at 758 U.S. Highway 27 behind Ms. Harris.

Richard Z. Prather, 36, of 505 Wilkin Street, Colquitt, was stopped in the Hardee driveway awaiting to enter U. S. Highway 27 in his 1995 Saturn SL.

Ms. Harris slowed to make a right turn into Hardee's. Mr. Holt struck Ms. Harris' vehicle in the rear, causing her vehicle to leave the roadway and strike Mr. Prather's stopped vehicle. The Harris vehicle then rotated clockwise after hitting Prather's vehicle on the front let fender, into the ditch/culvert on the Hardee property off the roadway.

Mr. Holt and Ms. Har- ris were transported by Miller County Emergency Ambulance to the hospital emergency room for treatment and observation.

One driver sustained mouth and head injuries . One driver sustained mouth and head injuries . Mr. Prather was not injured. He stated that he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The accident report indicated that Mr. Holt's pickup sustained moderate damage. Mr. Harris' auto sustained slight damage, and Mr. Prather's auto sustained slight damage.

The Holt and Harris vehicles were removed by wrecker service. Mr. Prather drove his vehicle from the scene.

Colquitt Police officer Scott Cleveland was the investigating officer.
