Saved by the Grace of God
I was talking to a preacher the other day and got around to talking about our times and what's to come.
The preacher said, "If we weren't living under His grace, we would really be in a mess. If He wasn't interceding for us with God the Father, we would be in a bigger mess."
I've heard grace used in many ways, mostly when I was down on someone, I was told by my mother, mostly chastising me, "There for the grace of God go you."
"What do you mean by living under His grace?" I questioned the preacher.
"If it wasn't for Jesus Christ giving his sinless life for all of us, we would all be going to Hell. If we accept Him as our Savior, we are living under His grace until He comes again. I won't be here when He returns because the saved will be raptured. Those not taken up will be in for some terrible times," the preacher continued.
Think what it would be like, if we weren't living under the saving grace of Jesus Christ right now. There would be no hope.
When we are young, some have that feeling that we have plenty of time. As a county coroner for over 20 years, let me tell you, my first thought when a young person died in an accident or some other way, was is he/she saved. No matter how young or old, eternity is a long, long time. We can't go wrong by choosing Christ over Satan, but it is our choice. Grace can only cover us if we choose to be covered. This time on earth, be it 15 or 100 years, is a short preview of where we will spend eternity. Choose wisely. If you are reading this, you still have time. I found a saying to go on our outdoor church sign, "Christians aren't perfect, they are just forgiven."
Prayer - Forgive me of my sins. Use my life to help others to choose wisely. Thank you Jesus for saving me by Your grace. Amen
Acts 20:24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me — the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.
