Law Enforcement Report
Vehicle Accident
On March 27, Earnest Thompson said that he was traveling North on Highway 27, when a red pick-up truck pulled out in front of his vehicle and in order to miss colliding with the red truck, steered off the road way and into the ditch. There was minor damage to the under carriage and fender well.
On March 26, Jermaler McNaire Powell was stopped at a yield sign for on coming traffic when Rebecca Bush Dozier failed to yield causing contact and damage to the rear bumper of Powell's vehicle. Slight damage was done to Dozier's front bumper when the accident occurred. No visible report of injuries was made while on scene.
Larceny
On March 20, Charles Jackson stated that on March 21 around 8:00 p.m. he went into his residence and noticed that his cellular phone was stolen. The statements were taken, and the case has been turned over to the investigator for further investigations.
On March 22, Kelvin Antwan Hallmon stated that he last saw his property on March 22 around 5 p.m. up underneath the back porch, and when he went back to the location to use it, the property was gone. Hallmon stated he does not know who took it and why. The statements were taken, and the case is still ongoing.
On March 25, a ten dollar roll of quarters was taken off the counter by an older white female. The scene was turned over to Investigator Morgan.
On March 25, Monica Posey stated that while at the baseball field on Bush Street she had multiple items taken from her vehicle. The items were not found missing until the following day when Ms. Posey went to get the bags. At this time the scene was turned over to investigations.
Theft by Taking
On March 22, Lasandra D. Burke stated that while she was at work she was informed that her neighbors were entering her back yard residence and getting her water from the back yard water faucet using five gallon buckets. Burke stated she does not know how long this has been going on and wants it to stop.
On March 26, Mark Alan Lott was charged with one count of Theft by Taking.
Dog Problems
On March 24, Kathy Lynn Sherrer stated that while on her job, she walked into the yard of the residence and noticed three pit bull dogs in the yard. Sherrer stated that the closer she got to the residence, the three dogs began to bark and growl and started towards her. She then stated that she did her job at the residence and left and called 911 to report the incident.
Lost Pocket Book
On March 24, Harkins Patsy Williams left her pocket book on top of her car and began driving down the road. Patsy is unaware as to where the pocket book fell off of her car.
Missing/Stolen Driver License
On March 27, Willie J. King stated that while leaving work at the P.D. parking lot on March 24 around 5 p.m. was the last time he saw his driver's license. King stated that he noticed his driver's license was missing/lost on March 26 around 2 p.m. The statements were taken, and the case is still ongoing.
DUI
On March 27, Ashley Kearns was charged with one count of Driving Under the Influence and one count of Speeding (68 in a 45).
On March 28, Gerome Lewis Beamon was charged with Driving Under the Influence, Open Container Violation, and Failure to Maintain Lane.
On March 28, Robert Trey Richardson was charged with DUI Drugs. The cocaine was put into the evidence locker for storage.
Driving Without Licence
On March 22, Jeana M. Scott was charged with one count Driving While License Withdrawn.
