Frank N. Jones, Sr., 75, of the Oak Grove Community, formerly of Cordova, AK and Franklinton, LA, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2009, at his residence.

A memorial service was held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Oak Grove Christian Church with Rev. Scott Messer and Rev. Lindsay Gay officiating.

Mr. Jones was born December 15, 1933, in Miami, FL, the son of Louis Jones and Annette Russo Jones. He was a graduate of Miami Jackson Senior High School and served in the United States Air Force. Survivors include his son, Frank N. Jones Jr. and his wife Lisa of Cordova, AK; two daughters, Diane Boone of Green Cove Springs, FL, and Tina Pruett and her husband Milton of Pompano Beach, FL; his sister Debbie; six grandchildren, Nikki, Christopher, Michael, Jessie, Jackie and Jayme; his special friend and caregiver, Kitty Stewart; and his loving companion, Pepper.

Cox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
