Calvin E. Dollar, 83, of Bainbridge passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at his residence.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Stanley Phillips officiating. A private graveside service followed at Pinecrest Memory Gardens in Pelham with Dr. Kenneth Cloud officiating.

Mr. Dollar was born April 30, 1925, in Grady County, the son of Martin James Dollar and Bessie Clyde Dasher Dollar. He was a graduate of Pelham High School and served in the United States Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Jenelle Richardson Dollar of Bainbridge; his son, Calvin E. Dollar, Jr. and his wife Diana of Broken Arrow, OK; his daughter, Carolyn Glisson and her husband Allen of Bainbridge; five grandchildren, David Dollar, Libby Rentz, Gina Guggisburg, Lori Luse and Jon Dollar and nine great-grandchildren.

Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
