Godwin honored for service to international organization
Ronnie Godwin of Godwin Jewelers in Bainbridge was honored for his commendable service to the Board of Directors of the Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO) at their recent semi-annual conference held in Tampa, Florida. Godwin was presented with a gift and a certificate in appreciation for his three-year term on the board.
"Ronnie took the time from his busy schedule for the betterment of all IJO members, and I'm grateful to him," reported IJO President & CEO Jeff Roberts. "He is a very dedicated member with some great ideas and made a wonderful contribution to the structure of the board. We all enjoyed working with him, and we'll miss him."
IJO's Board of Directors works as a liaison between IJO members and management, and also helps create and refine new programs for the group. "I feel privileged to have been elected to participate with this most recent board, and I enjoyed every minute of it," Godwin said. "Being in IJO has helped my business tremendously, and it was a pleasure to give something back."
