Mrs. Brenda Sue Sykes Phillips, age 59, of Bainbridge died Monday, March 16, 2009, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville.

Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker and attended Morningside Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 20, at 2:00 p.m. at Morningside Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Hart officiating. Interment followed in West Bainbridge Cemetery.

Pallbearers were William Meredith, Jackie Moat, David Sykes, Trey Sykes, Dennis Deal, and Homer Meredith.

Survivors include her husband, David Phillips, Bainbridge; daughter, Patricia King, Bainbridge; brothers, David Sykes and Eddie (Marie) Sykes, Bainbridge; two grandchildren, Vanessa King and Will King, Bainbridge.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Elliott and Lorene Bennett Sykes.

Cox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
