Beta Club members visit informative collaborative meeting. The MCHS Beta Club has been busy these past few weeks. During December, many Beta Club members helped decorate the Miller County Nursing Home for Christmas and enjoyed playing Santa Claus to a group of nursing home residents. The officers also had a Christmas party at "Miss" Sherry's house.

This month, a group of members represented the Beta Club at the Miller County Collaborative Committee meeting, where Mr. Ken Kirkland of the Colquitt Police Department was the guest speaker. It was a fun and informative event, and we would like to thank the Collaborative Committee for inviting us. Our regular monthly meeting was on Jan. 14. The members were given updates on their point status and reminded about requirements and upcoming events. On Jan. 22, some of us will be serving at the Chamber of Commerce annual dinner. Our final event for January will be the annual induction service for new members. This will be held on Jan. 29 at 6:30 in the MCMS/ HS lunchroom.
