OTIS MILLER

Otis Miller, age 77, of Donalsonville passed away Monday, May 5, 2008, at his residence.

Funeral services for Mr. Miller were held on Tuesday afternoon, May 6, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Dr. Ron Mccaskill officiating. Interment followed in Friendship Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Miller was born in Miller County on July 12, 1930, to the late Jim Drew and Mattie O'Hearn Miller. He was engaged in farming for many years. Mr. Miller was married to the former Shirley Easom and served his country in the United States Air Force. He was also a member of the Seminole Masonic Lodge no. 83 and the American Legion Post No. 157.

Mr. Miller leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Shirley Miller of Donalsonville; a son, Mike Miller and his wife Claudia of Donalsonville; a daughter, Joye Mock and her husband Robert of Donalsonville; a sister, Dale Harrell and her husband Ray of Bainbridge; and three grandchildren, Drew, Lindsay, and Cole Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim Drew and Mattie O'Hearn Miller; and two sisters, Laura Mock and Rosa McMickle.

Active pallbearers were Ricky Smith, Brad Hornsby, Dennis O'Hearn, Ted Newberry, Larry Phillips, and Sammy Efurd.

Evans-skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
