ALICE LAVERNE FRANKLIN

Alice Laverne Franklin, 68, of Colquitt died Sunday, May 4, 2008, at her residence. Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at SheffieldFuneral Chapel with Rev. David Thompson and Rev. Kent Barwick officiating. Interment followed at Colquitt City Cemetery.

Mrs. Franklin was a member of Colquitt United Methodist Church and was retired from Thomas-Betts.

Mrs. Laverne is survived by two daughters, Paula Elaine Bedwell of Colquitt and Sandra Yvonne McCullough of Blakely; two sons, William Timothy Franklin of Brunswick, and Wallace Hugh Franklin of Colquitt; mother, Theo Reagan of Colquitt; one sister, Bonnie Sue Franklin of Colquitt; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Franklin, and she was the daughter of the late Wallace Reagan.

Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
