During the week of April 21-25, the students of the New Life Learning Center studied different types of trees, the benefits of trees, and how to plant and care for trees. On Friday, which was National Arbor Day, they held a tree-planting ceremony. Arbor Day is a nationally celebrated observance that encourages tree planting and care and is celebrated each year on the last Friday of April. Chief Ranger- Grady Jarvis, and Ranger- Mike Warren planted New Life's tree. Miss Miller-Seminole Forestry, Courtney Brownlee led the ceremony with the help of Teen, Rachel Grimsley, and Hospitality, Shelby Maine. The New Life Learning Center students will now care for the tree and remember their first Arbor Day celebration! Thanks go to the Miller County Rangers and the forestry queens for helping the kids enjoy a fun-filled day!! Thanks also go to the New Life Learning Center teachers and staff for another exciting week at NLLC! Call New Life Learning Center, 758-5538, for information about our Summer Program!
