News from Crooked Oak Golf Course

The SGA Golf Tournament is this Thursday, May 1. Sign up individually at the Golf Shop by 12:00 Thursday. It will be a 2:00 shotgun start. No Thursday dogfightthis week.

The weekly summer dogfightshave begun. The Thursday evening dogfightsare open to any member or member's guest. There is a $5.00 first time for the summer fee; then the golfer pays an entry fee of $7.00 and golf fees. The format is a 9 hole points game (1 point for bogey, 2 points for par and 4 points for birdie) with cash prizes for individual and team (two person blind draw) winners. Please sign up to play at least 30 minutes before the event by calling the golf shop at 758-9200.

New membership programs are as follows - (1) New regular memberships (age 25 to 59) are $300.00 and include fivefree rounds of golf. (2) Individual young adult memberships (ages 19 to 24) are $160.00 and include 2 free rounds of golf. (3) Individual senior memberships (ages 60 and up) are $160.00 and include 2 free rounds of golf. (4) Junior memberships (ages 13 to 18) are $60.00. Junior members may walk free of charge Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

New youth policy: Children ages 12 and under accompanied by a paid adult (playing or not playing) may play and/or ride free of charges. (Remember, golf carts are made for two people only).
