JAMES TIMMONS OLIVER

Mr. James Timmons Oliver, age 68, of Newnan died Monday, April 7, 2008, at Emory Hospital in Atlanta.

Mr. Oliver was born January 12, 1940, in Decatur County. He was retired from Northwest Airlines and was of the Baptist faith. He graduated from Miller County High School in 1958. He served four years in the US Navy from 1958-1962.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Sheffield Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bill Mills officiating. Interment followed in Arlington City Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gerald Thompson, Buddy Grimes, Terry Bevis, Marcell Sheffield, Jimmy Cook and Eugene Edmunds.

Survivors include one daughter, Kristy (Steve) Martin, Hampton; mother of his daughter, Pat Dottson, Norcross; and a large number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Colquitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
