If you missed this year's Relay for Life, you missed an evening of emotions, fun, entertainment and fund-raising.

Margaret Ann Daniels, president of the Miller County American Cancer Society, welcomed everyone to this year's annual event. Rev. Mike Mounts, pastor of Bellview Free Will Baptist Church, gave the opening invocation.

As of Friday night, the total amount raised was $40,340.35, but monies continue to come in. Because of your generous donations, the American Cancer Society will be one step closer to finding a cure for this dreaded disease of cancer.

As the survivors' names were read by Margaret Ann Daniels, survivor chairman, they took their place on the track. Family members were invited to walk the survivors' lap with their loved ones.

Debbie Sloan then sang as the luminaries were lit by family members and Relay for Life board members.
