Larceny

On March 22, OfficerKenneth Kirkland was contacted by Winstone Trively who stated that gas was stolen from the maintenance building. Trively stated someone entered the fenced area of the shop, cut the gas lock, and stole an undetermined amount of gas from the unleaded tank. Upon investigating the scene, possible suspect foot prints were photographed as well as possible vehicle tracks. The case is under investigation.

Criminal Trespass

On March 21, OfficerKenneth Kirkland made contact with <BOLD

Ray Davis at the Sheriff's Officein reference to a broken window. Davis stated someone had broken a window at the new apartments on Bush Street sometime between Friday evening and Saturday morning. Davis stated his sheet rock crew called him Saturday and reported the window to him. OfficerKirkland then went to the scene and photographed the damage. OfficerKirkland advised the complainant that extra patrol would be done on the job site.

On March 18, OfficerDale Glover was dispatched to Springhead Road in reference to Damage to Property. Upon arrival, OfficerGlover spoke with Lonnie Smith who advised that unknown persons had ridden A.T.V.'s onto his property causing damage. Smith had numerous small pine trees knocked over and run over by the A.T.V.'s. It is unknown who made the damage.

Car vs. Deer

On March 28, Officer Brad Cox was dispatched to Whites Bridge Road in reference to someone striking a deer with a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, OfficerCox made contact with

Mary Lou Roaten. Roaten stated that she was traveling westbound on Whites Bridge Road, when a deer ran out in front of her vehicle. Roaten stated that she struck the deer with the left corner of her front bumper. OfficerCox observed deer hair stuck to Roaten's vehicle as well as damage to the vehicle's left front park lamp and headlight. There was also moderate damage to Roaten's front driver-side door, where it appeared that the deer had slammed into it after being struck.

On March 26, Tina Wells was traveling north on Phillipsburg Rd. in a Dodge Ram 1500. A deer entered into the path of Wells' vehicle, and the collision could not be avoided. The damages were located to the grille area and the bumper of the truck.

On March 18, Bobby Williams was traveling south on Hwy. 45 when a deer entered into the path of his Mercury Cougar. The collision could not be avoided.

Car vs. Goats On March 25, Carlton EugeneSkip traveling eastbound on Newberry Chambers Road when two goats ran out into the roadway from the Eastbound shoulder. Skipper could not avoid the collision and struck the goats in the roadway, causing damage to his Ford F-150 and killing one of the goats.

Car vs. Cow On March 20, Carroll Jean Johnson was traveling north on Three Notch Road, in a Ford F-150, when she struck a black cow that was in the roadway. Johnson stated that she did not need EMS. The cow belonged to Harold Cobb.
