Lewis Ray Wilson

Funeral services for Mr. Lewis Ray Wilson, age 77, of Bainbridge, was held Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Harrell and Rev. Ed Harrell officiating. Burial followed at the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery with Ray Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Bobby Grubbs, David Grubbs, Daryl Davis and Willie Bell serving as active pallbearers.

Mr. Wilson is survived by four daughters, Margie (husband Joe) Ward and Louise (husband Buster) Terry, both of Bainbridge, Mary Alice (husband Rev. Tim) Harrell of Climax and Darlene (husband Dennis) Poppell of Whigham; one son, Donald Ray Wilson of Thomasville; one sister, Betty Butler of Donalsonville; ten grandchildren, Timothy Harrell, Jennifer Anne Dowdy, Stephanie Terry, Courtney Terry, Tiffany Ann Poppell, Jared Poppell, Gratten Ward, Jon Ward, Alex Ward and Caelan Wilson and one great-grandchild, Jenna Dowdy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Annie Griner, Dorothy Wilson Love, and Gladys Cook, and three brothers, Tommy Wilson, Arthur Wilson and William (Bill) Wilson.

Cox Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
