Avant, Kimbrel to wed

Bryan Alan Kimbrel and Sara Ellen Avant
Arthur W. Jr. and Pamela L. Avant of Hahira announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Sara Ellen Avant, to Bryan Alan Kimbrel, also of Hahira. The groom is the son of Russell Kimbrel of Hahira and the late Tammy Busby Kimbrel of Savannah.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late William H. and Ellen Moulton of Dasher, the late Arthur W. Avant Sr. of Charleston, SC, and the late Lucile Altman Avant of North Charleston, SC.

She is a 2006 graduate of Lowndes County High School and a 2006 graduate of Valdosta Technical College where she received a nail tech certificate.She also received her Georgia State Licenses for nail technician in 2006. In 2008, she received her master cosmetologist certificatefrom Valdosta Technical College, where she graduated with honors.

She is employed at Valdosta Technical College as a substitute teacher for the nail tech program, and also is employed part-time by H & R Block Tax office.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Buford and Irisia Kimbrel of Arlington, Allen Busby of Douglas, and Barbara Kay Walker of Colquitt.

Great-grandparents are the late William A. and Jane Kimbrel of Baker County, the late Venson and Ora Beard of Albany, and the late Dennis and Mildred Walker of Arlington.

He is a 2005 graduate of Lowndes County High School and attended Valdosta State University.

He is employed by Central Irrigation Supply in Valdosta as the branch manager.

The wedding will take place Sunday, May 4, 2008, at 6:00 p.m. at Gin Creek in Hartsfield.
