Delk, Whitaker to wed

Terry Alan Whitaker and Jennifer Leah Delk

Jennifer Leah Delk and Terry Alan Whitaker happily announce their engagement. Jenny is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Powell of Dothan, Alabama, and the late Roy Delk of Donalsonville. Terry is the son of Ms. Debbie Whitaker of Iron City and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Whitaker of Cuthbert.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Bonnie Lott and the late Mr. Gene Lott of Donalsonville and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Delk of Homerville.

Jenny is a graduate of Miller County High School and graduated with a bachelor of science degree in dietetics and nutrition from the University of Georgia. She is currently working as a nutritionist at the Hall County Health Department in Gainesville.

The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Dobson of Iron City and the late Mr. and Mrs. Euston Whitaker of Colquitt. Terry is a graduate of Seminole County High School in Donalsonville. He received a bachelor of science degree in business management from Valdosta State University. He is currently employed as senior district executive for the Northeast Georgia Council Boy Scouts of America in Jefferson.

The wedding is planned for July 5, 2008, at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Colquitt with a reception to follow in the Family Life Center. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
