Former Colquittan promoted to VP

Randy Whitaker named executive vice president of First National Bank of Georgia
CARROLLTON, Rocky Lipham, chief executive officerof First National Bank of Georgia, announced the promotion of William R. (Randy) Whitaker to executive vice president.

Whitaker has been with FNBGA since 1995 and currently serves as a senior commercial loan officerfor the bank. He earned his bachelor's degree in accounting from Georgia Southwestern State University. Whitaker is also a graduate of the University of Georgia's Advanced Compliance School and the Graduate School of Banking of the South at Louisiana State University.

Whitaker has served in various organizations including the Carrollton Kiwanis Club, the Georgia State Homebuilders Association and the Northwest Central Homebuilders Association. Randy is currently the president of the Villa Rica Sertoma Club and is a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. He and his wife, Kim, reside in Carrollton with their two children.

"Randy's heart for the customer has epitomized the tagline of our company 'Taking your banking personally,'" said Lipham. "Under his leadership, the eastern region of our franchise has grown more than 40% in the past three years. His knowledge of real estate lending will be vital to our success in weathering the current credit crunch in this market."

Randy is the son of Ronald and Beverly Whitaker of Colquitt.
