Vehicle vs Deer

On March 18, Bobby Williams was traveling south on Hwy. 45 in a Mercury Cougar when a deer entered into the path of the vehicle. The collision could not be avoided.

Criminal Trespass

On March 18, OfficerDale Glover was dispatched to Springhead Road in reference to damage to property. Upon arrival, OfficerGlover spoke with Lonnie Smith who advised that unknown persons had ridden A.T.V.'s onto his property causing damage. Smith had numerous small pine trees knocked over and run over by the A.T.V.'s. It is unknown who made the damage.

Vehicle Accident

Jason Neal Lovering and Bobbie Ruth Love were traveling east on Hwy. 91 South towards Hwy. 27. Love stopped at the yield sign before turning on Hwy. 27. Lovering stopped behind Love. Love's Chevrolet S10 began rolling forward to enter onto Hwy. 27. Lovering's Ford F150 then stopped again, and Lovering struck Love's S10 in the rear.

Vehicle vs. Cow

On March 20, Carroll Jean Johnson was traveling north on Three Notch Road when her Ford F150 struck a black cow that was in the roadway. Johnson stated that she did not need EMS. The cow belonged to Harold Cobb.

Marijuana Possession

On March 21, OfficerDan Stone received reliable information that Antonio Shepard had marijuana on his person. OfficerStone observed Antonio Shepard at Ron Cam. Upon searching Shepard, Officer Stone found a clear plastic bag that contained marijuana. He was then placed under arrest and charged with possession of marijuana. Shepard was transported to the Miller County Jail.

Larceny

On March 20, OfficerLonnie Wade was dispatched to L&L Fabrics in reference to entering an auto. Upon his arrival, Officer Wade spoke to Cody Wayne Plamondon who wanted to filea report. Statements were taken, and the case has been turned over to the investigator for further investigations.

Vehicle Accident

Dorothy Milliner was backing her Buick Park Avenue in an eastern direction. Waver Perry was traveling south in her Nissan Maxima. Both vehicles were leaving the parking lot. Milliner misjudged the clearance and struck Perry. Milliner's Buick sustained slight damage, and Perry's Maxima sustained moderate damage. No citations and no injuries were reported at the time of the report, and pictures were taken.

Larceny

On March 21, OfficerGreg Richey responded to a call at Autoworks on Grow St. OfficerRichey spoke with Brad Shiver, who informed him that a vehicle on the rear side of his shop had been broken into during the previous night. The vehicle that had been broken into was a white Chrysler mini van. The window on the front passenger side door was broken out of the van; also the factory installed TV had been taken out of the van. OfficerRichey observed shoe prints on the passenger side of the van. The case was turned over to Inv. Kirkland for investigative purposes.

DUI

On March 22, OfficerChristopher Medina was patrolling north on 4th St. when he observed a green 1995 Ford Explorer driving south on the wrong side of the road. When the Explorer passed, the driver turned his headlights off and then back on again. Officer Medina then initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. OfficerMedina asked the driver, Lenard Cula King Jr., for his driver's license and proof of insurance. OfficerMedina detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person. He was also able to see an open beer can inside the vehicle. Lenard later advised that he didn't have a driver's license, that it was suspended. Lenard took a roadside alcosensor test and tested positive for alcohol. OfficerMedina then read Lenard the implied consent card, and he said that he would submit to a test of his breath. OfficerMedina advised Lenard that he was under arrest for suspicion of DUI and driving while license suspended. Lenard was transported to the Miller County Jail. When at the jail, OfficerMedina then attempted to give Lenard a Breathalyzer test on the Intoxilyzer 5000 two times. Each time the test came back with an interferent failure. OfficerMedina then reread Lenard the implied consent card and asked for a sample of his blood. Lenard refused to give blood. Lenard was charged with DUI refusal and driving while license suspended.

Vehicle Accident

On March 17, Andrew Cook was backing a Ford F250 out of a parking spot to leave the dentist office.Tiffany Phillips' Chevrolet Malibu was parked in a parking spot along the back of the building. While backing, Andrew Cook struck Phillips' Malilbu causing moderate damage to the trunk of the vehicle.
