Law Enforcement Reports

DUI

On March 12, Kirk A. Rahymes was charged with Driving while license suspended or revoked and drivers with ability impaired by alcohol.

DUI

On March 13, Tracy Maude Middleton was charged with Drivers with ability impaired by Drugs and an expired tag.

Larceny

On March 11, Officer Lonnie Wade was dispatched to E. Crawford St. in reference to stolen property. Officer Wade spoke to Shawn Hall who stated that property belonging to Hall Oil and Tire was stolen. Statements were taken, and the case has been turned over to the investigator for further investigations.

Harassing Phone Calls

On March 12, Officer Chris Medina was dispatched to Middle St. in reference to harassing phone calls.

OfficerMedina spoke with Fanchon Hollinger, who advised that the suspects, Sherina Bray and Shatoya Crankfield,were calling her phone and leaving messages that were cruel. Fanchon advised that they kept calling, and harassing her. OfficerMedina spoke to Sherina who advised that she had not been calling Fanchon. Sherina advised that it was Shatoya calling and harassing Fanchon. OfficerMedina then went to Shatoya's residence; she advised that she had been calling Fanchon, but she said that she didn't leave any messages.

Simple Assault and Battery

On March 13, OfficerDan Stone and OfficerRichey responded to a fight in progress call at E. Bush St. Upon arrival Leigh Turpin came out of the house; at that time injuries could be seen on her neck. OfficerStone asked her what happened, and she stated that Jeremy Brandon Edwards had slung her around by the neck and grabbed her hard on her arms. OfficerStone then went inside to findthe offender. He came out of the back bedroom and was handcuffed for officersafety. OfficerStone read his rights and asked him what happened. He at first stated nothing had happened. When OfficerStone asked him about the bruising on her neck and how it got there, he stated that he was trying to keep the complainant from taking items that belonged to their daughter. Edwards was then placed under arrest. OfficerStone took pictures of the victim both at the scene and at the Police Department.

Harassing Communications On March 12, OfficerChristopher Medina was dispatched to Grace St. in reference to damage to property. When OfficerMedina arrived on scene, he spoke with the complainant, Mary Wanda Cook, who advised that while she was on break from her job, she heard someone throw a rock and break the window at the residence on Grace St. She said she saw several young black males running from the residence. Montrel Andrews approached Officer Medina at Top Road, on Milford St. and advised that he knew who broke the window on Grace St. Montrel advised that Shaquille Edwards was the suspect who broke the window.

Harassing Communications

On March 15t, Bethany Smith came to the Police Department and advised she was getting restricted phone calls again and that she had just got this phone and new number about three weeks ago. When she answered the call the first time the caller asked, "Is the poison?" and then hung up the phone. She advised that only a select few have her new number.

Vehicle Accident

On March 10, Richard Paul Plair was backing up in a westward direction. Tameka Price was traveling in a Northward direction. Plair in a Ford F350 misjudged the clearance and struck Price's Dodge Durango. Plair's back driver side bumper struck Price's side door and the back driver side passenger door. The Ford F350 sustained minor damage, and the Dodge Durango sustained moderate damages. Tameka Price reported injury. No citations were issued, and pictures were taken at the time of the accident.

On March 14, Johnathan Maloy stated that he left his Chevy Silverado parked in the parking lot of the Lanes' Medical Parking, and when he returned to his vehicle, he noticed that his rear passenger side bumper had been struck by an unknown vehicle. Maloy's Silverado had sustained minor damages, and pictures were taken at the time of the report.

On March 15, Melissa Renee Heard was backing up in a western direction. Felicia Nikka Holland's Chrysler was parked in the parking lot. Heard misjudged the clearance and struck the Chrysler. Heard's Ford Explorer passenger side front tire bumper struck the Chrysler's front driver side tire bumper. Heard's Ford Explorer sustained minor damages, and Holland's Chrysler sustained slight damages. No citations were issued, and no injuries were reported.
